I find it funny when people talk about copywriting like it’s some wandering lonely Wordsworthian endeavour.


I mean it can be. It can be magic. But only if it doesn’t disappear up its own arse!

To build a brand or sell a service (or product), all we’re ever trying to do is hit an emotional button that prompts immediate and joyful resonance. It’s a feeling!

Here’s the bottom line: arsing about with the all-too-clever stuff can often mean you just come across as a smart arse. And nobody likes a smart arse.
